They're right, of course. We pissed all over international law at every step of this, from torturing illegally detained quasi-war-prisoners to violating a nation's sovereignty without any warning to, yes, summarily killing an unarmed nonsoldier and disposing of the body without a proper burial or any sort of oversight

Not that we necessarily shouldn't have done it, as it's a strategic move of huge significance and benefit, but if, say, Russia were to do something like this, it would be rather frowned upon by the US leadership. Hell, North Korea does stuff like this often enough (illegal assassinations on foreign turf) and get all kinds of chewed out for it
