However, I disagree with laws that infringe on politicians ability to practice their religion. For example, a particularly christian (Or vampire phobic) politician wanting to put a cross in his office.
I'm also not a fan of "historical" uses of religion being removed. For example, there are always lawsuits whenever a courthouse has the ten commandments in them. The Ten Commandments are quite possibly the most well known set of rules in the world. Having the 10 commandments infront of your courthouse is no more supporting Christianity then having Hammurabi's Code supports Marduk. Ten commandments in a courthouse is one of the worst ones! If there is any part of the system that needs to be completely secular it's the justice system. Half of the commandments are about how you must worship the Abrahamic God and no other (even going into details like how he will punish the great grandchildren of unbelievers), those are not good things to have said in a courthouse.
