I'll share what I know. I think it is very possible, and not impossible. Final Fantasy VII was the first multi cd rom disc game I believe for consoles so, why not this? FFv13 could be the one to go beyond one bluray.
I base my theory on these facts, and what we did not see in FF13.
1. Both FF13 and FFv13, including FF type-0 started development around the sametime with different teams
2. Final Fantasy 13 development cycle was completed first. (with the help of some FFv13 members)
3. FF type-0 will be the first psp game with 2 UMD's (release date TBA)
4. (I don't remember exactly when) Nomura announce FFv13 will have towns, cities, nations, roads, oceans, various modes of transport such as airships, night and day changes while playing.
This is all I got to back up my claims. Feel free to research on your own. I'm sure you'll find it all true.
