This thread smells like a fanboy war waiting to happen (if it hasn't already). It won't be long before I see Nsanity and maybe Selnor, Seece and Disolitude post here (I haven't read the other pages). Both are bad in their own way. RROD was a problem that lasted years and I believe that should have gotten more media coverage, but Microsoft is the sweetheart of the USA (although the hicks don't seem to realize the consoles are made in China). The PSN being down is a temporary problem to varying degrees solely dependant on the user. The service isn't a paid service like Live so that mitigates some of it. Personally I jump between being in online and offline mode. Right now I bought Killzone 1! So I went back and played that (love my MGS4 80gb b/c bundle hehe). Also playing Lords of Shadow.
P.S. Disolitude if you take the time to read this, you should give Lords of Shadow another chance. It does feel like a Castlevania game as you get deeper in. I understand your love for 2D Castlevania and trust me, I have 2 versions of SOTN but LoS stands well on its own. When you get to the vampire area it truly feels more and more Castlevania'ish, it just has that charm to it. 2 Hours into LoS does not do the whole game justice trust me. I personally thought Lament of Innocence was good for a 3D Castlevania but LoS does well on its own if you give it a fair shake. Don't go in with your Alucard SOTN bias and truly give it a fair shake man, I guarantee you will find the charm within a few hours. Not to mention it is a lengthy game. I guess you can compare it to Nier, the beginning was meh, but later on the game stretches its wings.
Make games, not war (that goes for ridiculous fanboys)
I may be the next Maelstorm or not, you be the judge http://videogamesgrow.blogspot.com/ hopefully I can be more of an asset than a fanboy to VGC hehe.
