No!!! Skype is one of my favorite apps. Hopefully Microsoft doesn't force apple or sony to remove it

Obviously MS wants to keep it available to the masses. I'm more curious about how Sony feels about offering a service owned by MS.

Yeah at the end of the day you can't let all of this exclusivity obsession shit get in the way of making bank. That said now that I think about it, I have to wonder how popular Skype really is on iOS/Android devices and the PSP... Most people use Skype on their computer only. I do use it on my phone because I'm on prepaid and lack a voice plan (meaning I pay the steep by the minute rates) but I have a nice data plus unlimited texting plan. It's cheaper for me to make calls to landlines and mobiles through Skype using 3G (or Wi-Fi when available) than to get a voice plan.

As for Sony offering Skype on PSP/NGP. Like someone else mentioned, Sony Vaio laptops can run Windows (or Linux). At the end of the day sometimes you can't let competitor rivalries get in the way of making bank. There are users out there who use Skype on PSP (If you are in a Wi-Fi zone. The lack of 2G/3G is a drag though) and with NGP coming out with a G model, there will be even more demand for Skype on NGP (some people will inevitably use the NGP as a cheap cellphone substitute even. However since Skype doesn't do 911 calls, I wouldn't recommend you chuck your cell phones...). Sony would be enriching Microsoft by allowing Skype on their devices. But Sony would be depriving themselves of revenue by not allowing Skype on their platforms.
