Well to be honest I have always strongly suspected the whole 72 virgin thing to not be based on fact. Osama and other terrorist leaders have made up so much shit its not funny. They prey on Muslim ignorance the majority of those they recruit can't read or write, they believe everything their Imam says.
Infact I have a Muslim friend who believes it is blasphemy to translate the Quran out of Arabic. he can't read Arabic however so his main source of everything he believes is his Imam (Teacher). You know how easy it is to brainwash or mislead someone who doesn't even read his own Holy Book?
Just look at what the Crusaders did saying everyone who died fighting for Israel would be forgiven of all their sins. "To kill an infidel is the pathway to heaven". These things weren't Biblical but nobody could read the Bible and their for they did not know any better, they relied on their teachers to lead them.
Fact is every Muslim should read the Quran, every Christian should read the Bible. If you don't know what you believe you should find out yourself and not rely on others to tell you or influence your beliefs!
