Yeah it is pretty weird. However I do not remember hearing that the IPA or the ETA were doing some divine work.

One thign that is false though is that terrorists are cowards. It takes a pretty big set of balls to die to get one's ideas spread.

It's neither a matter of cowardice or bravery, it's a result of a hollow lifestyle. They aren't necessarily suicidal, but share some of the psychological tendencies of the suicidal, which are then taken advantage of by recruiters who want to fill their sad, meaningless lives with purpose in their own destruction. It ties in with the desperate situations that require the use of terrorism in the first place, when you have no possibility of seriously conventionally engaging your opponent
