They may be non-violent NOW, but a separatist is a separatist, and the fact of the matter is that some of them have formed a terrorist groupv that kills innocent people and demands that Spain give up territories that belong to it. Separatst attitudes are dangerous.

The same could be said for collectivist attitudes.

I'd say there have likely been more wars waged on the principle of uniting then the principal of dividing.

Aside from which, if a majority of an area wants too... why should a group of people be forced to assositate with other groups they do not wish to?
