The biggest problems with resistance has always been how indistinct and generic it is. Really, its almost as if insomniac said "Ya know, WW2 and Aliens are the two biggest cliches in gaming.... lets find a way to combine them!"

Gameplay wise the game is fine, but again indistinct. Compared to great games there was no major memorable moments, and it just doesn't stick out enough as it feels like every other FPS from recent years. Now that being said its not bad at all; fairly well put together and nicely executed. All it really needs is some more character and polish.

RFOM is a fine start for a new IP and a developer that hasn't made an FPS in over decade, and definitely one of the better launch titles of any system. But by no means is it comparable to GOW or most of the other well polished "AAA" FPS titles of late.
