250gb? Who /really/ is going to go over it? And even if they do... it's only another $10 per 50gb. I actually think these prices/caps are more than fair. Why should 98% of users suffer while the other 2% are using 10 times the average?

I pass that at least 500 times over a month.

I love Roadrunner internet <3 40/5 internet.

Cool. And if you were with AT&T, you'd be paying an extra $50 dollars a month for the bandwidth. I'm sure the amount you'd save, on the whole, based on the fact that the only way you're using that much is (most probably) pirating.

$50? I'd be paying them at least $5000 a month since I download monthly in the terabytes.

Ah, I thought you meant that you passed 500gig.

I'm a fan of paying for what you use, when you use it - so, paying a penny for every 20mb, or so... but during peak times, a penny will only buy you 10mb, or something (just random figures). Putting a price on usage controls consumption, and makes sure that everybody pays for what they use.

If I'm only using a few hundred meg each month to browse Facebook.... I shouldn't have to be paying through the roof prices to help cover the cost of investing in the infrastructure required to delivery terabytes of data to other users. If they want that much, they should have to pay a fair amount.
