2. You are overthinking it.  It may not keep the person from being caught at all.  But if I was a cybercriminal trying to steal client information from a company that had recently pissed off a known cyberterrorist group, I might leave something stupidly simple like a document giving credit to that group.  Would it work? who knows? but the document would have taken probably 2 minutes to type and upload.  Since part of any type of terrorism is taking credit for their actions, it doesn't seem like a horrible idea.  Copy "We are Legion", open txt doc, paste "We are Legion", upload.  Done.

IM OVERTHINKING IT. THE PERSON WHO IS SAYING THAT IT IS THE SIMPLE SOLUTION, NOT THE SONY-PLANTED-FAKE-EVIDENCE-TO-TRICK-THE-CONSUMERS-DESPITE-BEING-INVESTIGATED-BY-THE-FUCKING-CIA-AND-WILL-GET-CAUGHT SOLUTION.

Also, I laughed so fucking hard at the italicized.

Yes. . . you are over thinking it.  It was a simple document.  I never even said it was a solution.  I just said it is something simple to do and there are reasons why someone might do that.  I hope you laughed hard.  Maybe it moved a couple brain cells into working again.  For some reason you want to make it sound like I'm proposing some kind of grand conspiracy.

"My guess is that they were hacked by someone looking to make money from the information and they were working on getting more credit card info when Sony shut down the network.  It was a good time to do it because they had been threatened by the now infamous Anonymous.  The Anonymous file could have been left by them, again because the US government would like to use that to justify more raids on people's computers and would bite on that bait.  Sony could also have put it there as a way to go from negligent company to victim of super-hackers.  With this event potentially costing them tens of millions, if not hundreds, over the course of the next few years, they will take any PR advantage they can get."

Weeeeeee, It has a quote function too. Congrats.  Again, you posted why I would not be surprised.  I have a reason for thinking that.  I just proposed a . . . drumroll please . . . . . . . . . . . . . a (I found my italics too if you can find it) . . . . . ok, I'll spoil the Where's Waldo search for you . . . a GUESS.  Totally scientific, bring me to court as a witness, I'm ready to go Mr Wopner!

"hahah I didn't mean anything by it"
