Sounds like Sony is just trying to cover their ass. “Sony has been the victim of a very carefully planned, very professional, highly sophisticated criminal cyber attack,” Really, from using outdated software with known security holes?
It's inexcusable for a company of this size with this much of an online presence to not have a Chief Security Officer.
First they can't figure out how to generate a random number, and now they don't know about widely reported security issues to open source software.
