Why would you separate the UK from the rest of Europe,  that doesnt make any sense.  Would have given you one more option to add.

Im from USA by the way

Because it'll be a cold day in hell before I classify myself as European... and I think I share the same views as many, many Brits on this matter.

Dude can you tone it down a little plz. i dont want anyone bieng or even hinting at bieng racist on this thread. Im a brit and i think most people think like that but can you just choose your words carefully? Thanks (please dont take this as an badly just your post sounds a little like flaming)

Racist? Far from it. There is no "European" race. If I were French, German, Italian, or whatever, I'd say the exact same thing. The "European nationality" is a product of a load of pathetic politicians in Brussels.

Not to argue with you, because I totally respect your opinion. But, if you say there is no European race or nationality (which I agree with), the only way to be European is from a geographical stanpoint, and in that respect GB is part of Europe. So why do you dislike being called European so much?

Like, you can be Asian or African and that doesn't mean you share a common nationality or something, you state what continent you come from.

You're right, from a geographic standpoint, I am "European"... but the term, in reality, has changed to mean so much more. Now, European pretty much means "citizen of Europe".

In an ideal world, yes, I'm European, in a geographic sense. But, in the world we live in today, so much baggage has been attached to that, that I'd rather just steer clear from the whole "European" thing.
