It's not really tiny upgrades but too much recycling within the same gen bothers me. Forza 2 -> Forza 3, Shift -> Shift 2, TDU -> TDU2
Sequels that continue the story that are more then a year apart, HL2 episodes, Mass effect. Don't leave me waiting too long, I don't remember what I did in the previous game anymore.
Sequels that tell a new story, but play exactly the same, that are not far enough apart, AC 2 -> AC brotherhood.
