Debian Linux has a lot less funds available than Windows, but it's always been more secure. Anyway even Linux can't save you if you don't keep it updated with the latest security patches, it looks like Sony ran some web services with Apache not patched recently enough and running on an obsolete and vulnerable version of Rat Fart Linux...
