Why not compare a "3rd person shooter" with an FPS?  Does a game suddenly become enormously different if you pull the camera back and view your character from behind?  When it comes to driving games, is this done? There are a few things you do differently when the camera is back, but is the gameplay in Uncharted 2 or Gears multiplayer that different from Halo or Call of Duty, that it is impossible to compare the two games?

short answer, yes.

if you take MGO, and U2 and force everything into FPS, it will not work because it is made to be 3rd person. From CQC'ing enemies, repelling bullets as Raiden and the list goes on..

And don't compare driving games with shooting games... thats just silly seriously. its like you comparing a driving game with a flying one.
