Nerds typically read a lot. Maybe geeks aren't heavy readers, and definately some of the other stereotypes, like dorks, jocks, cheerleaders etc.

Maybe old school nerds that dabble in stuff like LOTR, Star Wars etc., but not this gen man. Just take for instance what most people here would consider as a game with a good story and interesting characters.

Nerds typically like to read a lot in order to be knowledgeable (and usually seruious literature, not speculative fiction). I think you're confusing them with geeks.

Nah, these are dweebs and communists I know a lot of them in the university. Nerds are the virgins who post on gaming sites and think Gordon Freeman is a memorable character, and geeks the ones that enjoy stuff like games and speculative fiction while still having a social life.
