As long as there's a lasting niche for a given game and the production run for that game was either intentially limited (Metroid Trilogy) or simply limited by the audience (quite a few Atlas games) yet the game is still well-loved by its niche audience (think JRPGs), a game has the potential to be worth more than it was when it retailed new. Persona games can fall into this category.

VC has the potential (limited audience/production, well-loved), but since I have no idea what the production run was on it, or whether there are a ton of surplus copies floating around at bargain bin pricing...

Demon's Souls would if it weren't dependent upon online servers to really get the full experience of the game (once shut down, it loses much of its appeal) and the fact that it was a Greatest Hits, meaning it was reprinted/reissued.

Being reissued as a Platinum/Greatest Hits generally reduces the chances of a game being a "collectible" years down the road, even if you have an original issue copy.
