Which controller setup is the best for PS3's FPS and TPS games?

Generally I'm trying to find out(or collect more variety of opinions) the optimal button config(E.G. L2 for firing L1 for reload correct? I'm not so sure about this) and the optimal sensitivity.(E.G. <1.8 for CS)

So sorry if I didn't explain myself well enough in the opening post.

I'm just trying to prevent myself to not get pwned badly online :P

R1 for firing and R2 for realoading, using the R2/L2 for firing will be difficult because of the special buttons (you know what I mean ^^)
