I don't want to be a party pooper or throw jabs at U3 or anything. But the comparison is not fair between that CGI trailer from Uncharted 3 (in-game engine assets or not, it's got many clear visual enhancements. lighting being just one of them).

Take this real in-game cut-scene from Uncharted 3 and compare it to Uncharted 2's cut-scene stills.

The difference doesn't look so BIG now , does it?

The difference is clear (to me), there's an unmistakable visual improvement in some cutscenes (those from the first trailer) while the visuals from the "villainess trailer" are more around the same quality of Uncharted 2 cutscenes. This is not the first time they do this, and it's common practice really. You can find examples in Uncharted 2  (like the Jail scene above), as well as in Uncharted : Drake's Fortune.
