Sounds like if you care it'd be worth changing your number.  Earlier it sounded like the CC numbers were in a different part of the system.

When I guess what they meant was, it was in the same part of the system, but don't feel there is reason to worry because of the encryption.

Playing word games with the PR is a bit weak.  If I had used my credit card info with sony i'd be angry.

No proof it was compromised and they totally had access to the data but we think the encryptions would hold....

I guess it depends on the encryption. I'm no expert on cryptography but I think a strongly encrpyted file probably wouldn't be practical to hack?

Afterall those insurance files released by Wikileaks no doubt contained all sorts of juicy information but I haven't heard of any attempt to actually get into them.
