It's more than that game. The fact is, everything you've mentioned has already been combined in many ways together in games.
That "thing" you were talking about in of itself is a platform maker, that uses physics, where you can believe it or not, make the goal to get by the level through a number of effects.
You can also use it for a number of other things.
The only real difference is they focused on the platformer aspect exclusivily, limited the design options, put in a stronger physics engine and cleaned up the graphics.
That's not innovation or uniqueness that's a specialized upgrade.
