I haven't played this game, but I don't see why lots of gamers are upset about it either. I mean popcaps games have sold similar numbers (see bejeweled for example) and no-one got annoyed about that. Hell they even went on to make Peggle and Plants VS Zombies, games that are not only enjoyed by casuals but by hardcore gamers alike.

These developers are just in a different segment of the market. There's plenty of room for both. Just like theres free television, pay TV, the cinema etc. Different segments that can eventually find a balance. This wont mean the end of high-end gaming because these games and numbers aren't new.
