I think the 3DS has been prematurely judged, Nintendo need to discontinue the DS before a true measure can be examined. those sales of the DS will go straight to the 3D imo.
either way the NGP should be more successful than the PSP which is the key thing for Sony, the titles they have for it are very impressive as well.
i also think they would do well to release the PS2 back catalogue on the NGP and also the PSP back catalogue.
