Heres the thing.

XBL is more secure.

The down of 2007 for Xbox Live was not global ( Of which I mean there were countries that were fine as well as some people in affected areas being fine ).

It actually boiled down to the amount of people who were making new accounts and logging in over Xmas 2007.

Nothing to do with security at all.

Windows,IE etc has nothing to do with XBL.

It is extremely true. Having a an open network creates huge issues. XBL is a closed network, of which M$ poors alt more money into than Sony. It's not only far more stable, but faster to use and download.

As the internet is currently saying. You get what you pay for.

So Xbox live going down for 4 (or 11? I'm confused on what the number actually is) days wasn't because of hackers?

Can anyone give a link to what happened?

Anyone who read Major Nelsons blog in 2007 would remeber. But the page no longer exists.

It wasnt WW, and wasnt consecutive. It was intermitant. Some were affected longer than others in 1 go.

But no. It had nothing to do with HACKERS.

Then why the hell was everyone saying it was hackers that made XBL go down? 0_o

Deflecting?

What? Who the hell said that?

Yeah deflecting.

Live did nothing but choke in 2007.

Halo 3 release brought it down for a day in 2007 prior to Xmas. To much activity. Xmas 2007 just went way past Halo 3's release and caused huge bottlenecks.
