Drop price of a recently launched system? Is that your solution OP?  laughable. Prices are set for a lot of reasons, costs being kinda a big part of them, don't you think? R&D? manufacturing costs? profits? ring a bell?  What they MUST do is launch compelling SOFTWARE that sets the bar straight up and separetes the old DS from this new 3DS in term of CONTENT. The Wii was basically the same Gamecube, for instance, what made the difference? yes the wiimote, but without the software to back that up, it wouldn't have created the BIG stir it did. Whatever is (or Nintendo believes) that makes this 3DS something unique and innovative (and worth $250), must be shown -convincingly- on its software. There's no other way. If they can't do that, well then of course it will fail, that's the first rule of videogames : SOFTWARE makes the system.
