There doesn't exist a monitor or a display which can do 240hz today. Sure the pannel can maybe refesh at 240hz, but they can not accept 240hz signal from the PC.
There are a select few which can do 120hz (nvidia 3D vision monitors) and they are sold at a premium and need to have DualLink DVI to work. No publicly sold TVs can accept even 120 hz. 60hz or nuthin...
So 60 frames per second is all one needs with modern equipment.
