Right now I suspect the PS3 probably has more exclusives numerically than 360 since all the timed stuff has elapsed. Certainly when I look at potential exclusives coming this year for both systems I'm interested in buying (having both PS3 and 360) the PS3 list is larger at this time. I'd say it's easy to see it either way depending on gaming preferences - particularly given 90% or more of the consoles libraries are identical - and that your flat out disbelief and clear preference for the 360 is more about you than some real world 360 library advantage. |
Or the other 50 360 exclusives that aren't on the PS3, or the 150 XBLA exclusives that aren't on PS3.
That was my point. If you have been a person thats owned a 360 for any length of time, you'll see what the 360 offered over the entire history and realize there is a kingly sum of exclusives over the past 6 years that never made it to PS3. Of course, it does come to preference, but your preference can be inherantly skewed depending on how long you've owned a console, as the exclusivity list is dwindling for the 360, whereas a veteran owner knows that the list of exclusives has been incredible over the past 6 years.
Of my library, the following games I own are 360 exclusives (these are just the ones I own, FYI):
- Blue Dragon
- Lost Odyssey
- Tales of Vesperia (US)
- Tropico 3
- Crackdown
- EDF2017
- Dead Rising
- Deadly Premonition (US)
- Mass Effect
- Condemned 1 2
- Culdcept Saga
- Infinite Undiscovery
- Two Worlds (obviously horrible, but I guess worth mentioning)
- Ridge Racer 6
For what its worth, they are all 3rd party exclusives (with BD/LO being debatable). These titles make up about 1/3rd or more of my entire X360 collection, which is pretty nice. I didn't include absolute 1st party titles like Forza 2. And of course, this is my list of owned titles, not ones I've played, as that list would expand 3 or 4 fold.
That is why I say its crazy to argue the PS3/360 exclusivity debate without having a deep understanding of the 360 library. Its had a bit more exclusives over the years, which is something a recent 360 owner wouldn't know about. Furthermore, my list doesn't include XBLA titles, as that list is nearly 100% exclusive with only Castle Crashers and SOTN (I think) being multi-plat.
Back from the dead, I'm afraid.
