The HD 5750 is a fine GPU if you don't want to run games at very high resolutions.

Just out of curiousity, how does that compare to the 4650...because a 1gb 4650 works perfectly fine on medium-high settings on games with a 1920x1080 resolution.  I know this isn't extreme graphics or anything, but some of you are acting like it is only a half ass card, when that isn't true at all.

Tomshardware regularly publishes a list of GPUs sorted by how powerful they are, that's a very good way to answer most of these questions.

Here is the April 2011 list:

http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/best-graphics-card-radeon-hd-6990-geforce-gtx-590,2912-7.html

The list says, "I don’t recommend upgrading your graphics card unless the replacement card is at least three tiers higher."

By this standard, the HD 5750 is significantly more powerful than the 4650, being six tiers higher.

Oh, wow.  I would consider that a pretty good graphics card then, whether or not it is top of the line.

Money can't buy happiness. Just video games, which make me happy.
