| d21lewis said: Nah. I'm actually reading it for myself. There's like 700 fairy tales in that book. I was reading an article on Yahoo! a while back about how fairy tales that we see interpreted today are nothing like the original works. I was curious so I downloaded it from the amazon book store and started reading. I was hooked! Stories of murder, betrayal, and sex in the guise of children's stories. I probably read about one fairy tale a day when the stories about slave life get too depressing (which is pretty much every single chapter--who knew?). Anybody that thinks that video games and such are too violent needs to read some fairy tales. It's no big deal for a parent to kill their children or for someone to kill their best friend in those stories! |
