I don't think they would have used that language to cover their asses legally since there is no reason to state it legally. If they were just covering their bases it would sound something like :"While there is no evidence at this time that credit card data was taken, we cannot rule out the possibility." The data was being mined. Also, things are happening right now. Do you expect the guy to sift through all the data and email people indivdually? The data will be sold to whomever is willing to pay the cash for it. This means you won't get one scam, but as many scam companies as feel like ponying up the dough hitting all those affected. This kind of data is worth top dollar too. Hell regular companies and advertisers will pay top dollar depending on just how much data was dumped. Purchase and playing history are amazingly valuable bits of info when tacked onto a gender and location. Seriously, stop and inform yourself then come back with a semi-coherent defense. Currently yours makes no sense, and utilizes no concrete information. It is out there both for and against. Read it, form a cogent argument, then post it here. Till then you are not really going to be able to make a valid point. |
So far my defence is nothing but a few scam emails have been sent nothing you are saying is trumping that, it's not a big deal. How much you think was data mined doubt they had the time to get everything
