I'm excited for FFXIII-2 as its the sequel to FFXIII, a great game that fell short of being a classic due to a few glaring flaws.
No game should be as linear as FFXIII was (or as linear as FFX was for that matter). At least XIII-2 should have areas for rest like X did.
FFXIII-2 should have a non linear structure like FFX-2, for all the hate I see FFX-2 get, it was packed with minigames for diversions, had side quests with actual story content, was pretty non linear from the start. I liked FFX-2 a lot due to this, it was one of the most fun Final Fantasy titles at the core (It had its own glaring flaws that stopped it from being a classic however).
If they improve the writing which hampered the scope of the story and what I mentioned above we have the makings of a classic.
