I'll tell you what I think. A GT collection would be kind of poinless IMO, because it's not like other games where there is a story, or even a story arc, to follow. Each iteration of GT improves on the last one where it matters most: simulation. OK, you may think that GT5 lack features, but that doesn't justify rereleasing the old games. Not many people are interested in playing GT1 these days.
Also, you can play GT4 in HD anyway.
