Nah, I meant Ed Schultz. As for the press. I mean the whole "focus on the birther" thing was what forced it. People were believing it more and more and the "Birther's are stupid!" constant media message actually pushed people towards it and not away from it.
Never has more time been spent on a story that all the media agreed "wasn't a story."
Had the media ignored it, chances are the number of people who beleived in it would of disapered and the story would of been forgotten until a crazy journalism proffessor published an academic study claiming he was guilty. (This literally just happened.)
Like with the "Sarah Palin faked her pregnancny" people.
