I dont think FF7 counts as a sequel, since it was made long before Crisis Core. in fact, its probabily better to play FF7 AND then play Crisis Core to understand the FF7 universe better; although to enjoy the FF7 universe better i would suggest not playing any game from the compilation except for FF7.
and FF10-2, while having some gameplay merits was not a game that could stand on its own 2 feet. if it wasnt the sequel to the very well recieved FF10, it would've been slated for what it was.
besides i'm betting the sales of FF13-2 wont be good at all, reflecting the poor consumer reception of FF13.
