I'm not sure what your comparison is stemming from. You don't have to have XBL Gold to buy anything off the marketplace or XBLA.

What's this got to do with XBL? I'm talking about paid PSN subs, who knows what they might or might not charge for. I'm covering multiple possibilities.

I'm not really missing PSN at all. Though the outage would choose to strike just as I start getting back into Demon's Souls, so the atmosphere isn't quite as good in offline mode.

The fact that your example uses the term "PSN Gold" implies that there's a parallel with Xbox Live.
