Third party support sure doomed the PS2.

We all know Nintendo is incapable of learning from their mistakes and working to get some third party support.

I'm sure they could keep Cafe alive by themselves like they did with Wii...oh wait, no they can't.

you misunderstand him. He's not saying having support is bad, he's saying there is no reason to believe there will be good third party support since there hasen't been on a Nintendo home console since about 1995...

There is no way to tell for sure, of course, but there is always the risk that Nintendo sacrifice too much of their unique image by catering to the needs of external publishers, which in turn fail to deliver... In such a scenario Nintendo would be left empty handed...
