Two inaccuracies in that article:
"Sony Cambridge Studios were rumored to be developing a new IP known as The Protector but nothing substantial has been revealed as of yet."
No. That was Sony Liverpool.
"The title may be an unannounced, new IP or a sequel to an existing IP such as the fabled Medievil 3. Sony Cambridge are thought to be developing the new Killzone title announced for NGP."
No. It's not mere speculation. It was confirmed by Guerrilla Games when the title was announced.
