Companies can't "ban" anyone from reviewing their games. They are just not going to be giving interviews, sneak peeks, and pre-release review copies of their games to EGM(or that was their threat anyways). EGM can still buy their own copies of the games and review them if they wish.
I think it was Ubi Soft, not Activision, who is threatening to "boycott" EGM by the way.
