no, they already have a paid service.

and having it down probably isn't costing Sony all that much money, as it is a free service.  So...

/end thread

Plus isn't really paid service and as long as the psn is down people won't be buying/renting movies or buying gams online. I normally rent movies from the psn but since it's down I got something off direct tv...sony just lost some money see?

plus is the paid model Sony opted for.  They aren't going to come out with a paid model, and then switch it up a year later with a different paid model.  The whole idea behind this thread is pretty ridiculous to be honest with you.  This wouldn't make good business sense for Sony to make a previous free service cost money in the middle of a cycle.  Plus is the closest you will get to it.

As far as money Sony is losing, I honestly don't think it will be that large of an amount.  While Sony is losing on on some money from digital sales (most of which goes to the company that actually makes whatever product is being sold)  Sony also has to pay the cost of having the system.  All those servors and transactions fees aren't free you know.  So while Sony is losing money in some areas, they are saving in others.  So, realistically, Sony isn't losing all that much money here.

Its ridiculous to ask a simple question lol? Sony was the same company that said people can get two jobs to get a ps3. Yes plus was something th opted for but I find it strange that they haven't boasted about the number of users who got plus (been waiting for those numbers for a while).

@mantlepiecek

thanks for response, I was a little concerned I would have another bill to pay lol
