I think this has more to do with the PSN not being prepared for the Steamworks integration that Portal 2 offers. Plus the stress of 2 other heavy online games, Mortal Kombat and Socom 4. Well let's think about this for a moment. There is roughly 75 million active PSN accounts across PS3, PSP and PC. That's a lot of accounts. PSN is free outside of the premium Plus service. The money on Plus won't start being that helpful yet.
