I respect Yahtzee and I find him one of the most entertaining reviewers on the internet but I if I take this review to face value instead of his usual humorous nitpicky style of reviewing, it's fucking garbage. I won't go into detail at how wrong his review is because shuraiya covered pretty much everything I wanted to say(excellent post shuraiya).
Demon's Souls is one of the most well-crafted and excellently designed games for a reason. It may be hard for newcomers but it's not completely unfair. It has a very steep difficulity curve but if you take your time and slowly learn the game's mechanics, you'll be able deal with every encounter with a relative ease provided you have the right equipment and abilities.
