Gears of war did have great gameplay but it wasnt as revolutionary as you may think. The over the shoulder was copied right from resident evil 4. Sure you can walk and shoot but that how gears was made. The cover system was copied from kill switch. So really gears brought HD and Co Op and thats it. Gears 1 MP is probably the best MP of this generation. Gears 2 ruined that with matchmaking and grenade wall tags. So to everyone saying "if it wasnt for gears, uncharted wouldnt have a cover system" it should be "if it wasnt for killswitch, gears wouldnt have a cover system."
