However in that case he'd be scum and that can't be seen as something to make me happy. Maybe he's vanilla town hoping scum would take him out instead of someone with a actual role(highly doubtful though since he's one they would take out for how good he plays anyway) So pleanty of reasons for me to not be happy with what he's implying. 2. Not all of them have had cops and or docs. I prefer games with more reasoning to find things out (or hiding for the scum) than a bunch of night roles. Last round there were more scum who would scan as pro town than scum who would scan as scum. So even more luck on top of trying to choose someone who is scumy. The further the game moves from vanilla the more luck would be involed of how night roles cross.
getting blocked or having him block someone important getting bussed these or who knows what else bombs, jesters, super saints more damn godfathers (I doubt cults at least since Hat hates them) but all these things that make it harder to find connection between people actions and what is happening. That and I rather not be on the wrong side of a game again. I don't care that you don't think I'm town. I'm hoping I'm not someone who is vanilla town in a game where most people aren't.

1. Not true. He could simply be determining it from the current streak of powered up games. He could also be determining it from something Hatmoza said in the signups, or a variety of other reasons. Additionally, he could be saying it to make mafia think there are a lot of roles, or confuse the mafia. You could argue that he's confusing the town with this information, but the same could be said of your own post that the town ISN'T powered. So, yes, I disagree.
2. Your own response perfectly illustrates why powered up games still require skill and work. (And I don't mean this to be an insult to anyone) Just because some of the players here are obsessed over roles and rely on roles, it doesn't make it the right way to play. Look at my round where I was cop. I already knew trucks was scum. I didn't need the cop role. Ask Linkz. I was going to straight out night-kill him, but decided that it would be most efficient to cop him then and there, get the result, and either night kill him next night, or someone else.
In fact, as time goes on in a powered-up round, and all the pieces begin falling into place, powered-up mafia is just as hard for mafia, if not harder, than in vanilla games. The reason being that mafia can't just claim vanilla or something else, because it might be taken. Roleclaims become nameclaims, providing additional ways to corner mafia. When those pieces fall into place, it takes skill to sift through what is true and what is false. Sorry you see it differently. But maybe now you can feel better? Remember in Linkz round, the pm? "The most important power of all; your vote"
3. You should never be afraid of a vig kill on night one.
And no, you are changing your story. You said you were afraid of being taken out. Now you say you're afraid of being blocked! And you're afraid of someone important being blocked??!?! You just said above that you prefer a simple town, and now you're afraid that a power could be blocked?
