It took an even more dramatic event than that to make me quit... my guild leader robbed the guild bank and switched servers. The entire guild bank. Tens of thousands of gold, epics, and materials. Then, as if it wasn't bad enough, he logged into the accounts of the class leaders, who he had the account info of, sold EVERY piece of gear they had, and mailed the gold to his account. Unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on how you look at it), I was the Shaman class leader. Of course, Blizzard wouldn't refund anything because we gave out our account info and it was our fault. Everything I had worked for... every character's gear... all of it was gone. I was left with a naked shaman that I had put 180 days into in a year and a half. I had no choice but to quit if I wanted to retain my sanity. Turns out it was a great decision. |
I guess I should be happy I have a short attention span. It doesn't matter how addicting a game is, I will quit after some while. This also applies to paying attention in class, unfortunately :(
