I will put just the scores in OP... the review conclusions I will put in the hole thread.
Game Informer 9.5/10 - "This is the quintessential “bigger and better” sequel that focuses and expands on the original’s strengths while raising the quality bar higher, but without breaking much new ground."
IGN 9.5/10 - "The original Portal benefitted from its brevity. It had a concise story paired with inventive first-person puzzle mechanics that challenged you to be creative while pulling the trigger. Portal 2 makes the original look like the prototype it was. It's filled with a larger cast of characters vividly brought to life through brilliant writing and some of the best voice acting in video games. Its puzzles are challenging without being unreasonable, and, once you're finished with the single-player mode, one of the best co-operative experiences on the market awaits. Valve cuts no corners and finds ways to make you care about everything from the major characters to the cubes used to solve puzzles. From the beginning of the single-player story to the end of the co-op mode, Portal 2 is a novel, unforgettable experience."
Brutal Gamer 9.5/10 - "Portal 2 is a fun and challenging game. The puzzles are often frustrating and difficult, but not so hard that you want to walk away from the game. This makes solving them extremely satisfying, and keeps you coming back for more abuse. The dialogue is amusing and interesting, and the storyline is just the right mix of old and new. Add in the fact that the cooperative mode is practically another game in itself, and Portal 2 is definitely worth buying. I give Portal a 9.5 out of 10, and of course recommend it to fans of Portal. I also highly recommend it to puzzle fans and anyone who loves a quirky story."
GameXplain 5/5 - "As brilliant as the British are funny. A near perfect follow-up to 2007's classic. An outstanding cooperative experience that's well worth your while."
Glitchy Tasty 98/100 - "Portal 2 is everything that gamers want out of a sequel; it's much, much longer with more to do and a hell of a story to back it all up. Multiplayer is great provided you find someone to play it with, and the overall experience will leave you with a giant smile on your face."
G4TV 5/5 - "Portal 2 is the most thoroughly polished game I have ever played (with the possible exception of Metal Gear Solid: Guns of the Patriots. Flame on, dear Internet, flame on)."
OXM 10/10 - "Consistently hilarious, remarkably satisfying, brilliantly written, funniest game this generation, consistently rewarding challenges, co-op is exceptionally entertaining."
Video Game Writers 5/5 - "Portal 2 is nothing short of brilliant. The levels are ingeniously designed, the dialog is better written than the vast majority of other visual medias, and the game is just genuinely entertaining. The original Portal left fans begging for more in every way possible, and the awesome news is that Valve delivered more of the same, and then some. Not only did Portal 2 meet the impossible expectations left from the first game, it far exceeded it."
PC Gamer 94/100 - "A challenging, hilarious, and mind-expanding puzzle experience for one or two—treasure your first time through."
TheGamersHub 5/5 - "Portal 2 is a must-have title for fans, gamers, puzzle nuts and anyone who appreciates wonderfully crafted title from beginning to end. Now that this book has closed for the time being, where is Episode 3? No matter, Portal 2 looks to be a very early Game Of The Year contender."
Digitally Downloaded 5/5 - "With the original held up to be the greatest game of all time by many, it was always going to be a difficult task for Valve to recapture the magic, or even improve on it further. Portal 2 isn’t Portal’s better, but more of the same genius is indeed still genius."
GamerLive.TV 9.5/10 - "With that being said, lack of replayability does not take away from the fact that Portal 2 is not just a great game, it is a contender for game of the year. A rich, satisfying and at times mesmerizing experience, you’ll feel a sense of accomplishment as you defeat those painstakingly difficult puzzles and you’ll laugh as GLaDOS tries to intimidate you from completing them. The story is captivating—and contains some of the best voice acting and writing in a video game to date. All of these elements makes Portal 2 beyond fun, some kind of different word that only the writers of the game could come up with, because whatever type of satisfyingly exciting experience this is, it is pure, unadulterated video game genius."
XXLGaming 95/100 - "The game delivers on everything that it has promised. An in depth storyline with catchy music definitely supports this title even without the co-op but when you add the co-op into the mix the game is worth every penny you spent. Valve has delivered a game that will give you hours of enjoyment as well as great satisfaction in solving each and every puzzle regardless of the difficulty. Portal fans will not be disappointed at all with this latest addition to the franchise. And new fans will be born. The bottom line is you cannot go wrong with Portal 2 when adding it to your gaming library. It’s got a great story, great gameplay and co-op multiplayer. What more could you ask for? Do it for science."
