Geohot asked for donations to fund his lawsuit.  Otherwise, he would not have been able to continue.  But he didn't continue when he has the funds because it was a loosing battle.  He caved in to Sony's demands because he didn't have a leg to stand on.  Otherwise, he would have continued to fight to win the lawsuit.  You got my point, and you know it.  Please don't deny yourself.  I will proudly charge you as an FIF member to reasonably and logically think for yourself and don't pick side because you have a bias against a company.

Ok ok.

1. I don't see what this has to do with the topic at hand

2. Neither side won. And if you think one did you are sadly mistaken. This case was to set future legal precedence in case something like this happened again. If Sony won they could easily bring it up to anyone who dared hack the PS3 again and bury them easily. If Geohot won a hacker could bring it up(then be buried in legal bills by Sony and lose) and potentially win

3. Sony spent at least a million(probably more in the two range) to take on Geohot. And you think they won with an order for him to stop hacking Sony products?

4. Geohot chickened out and looked like a tool to the people that were watching

Neither side won.

With all due respect.  I thought you were made of tougher stuff.  I was wrong.
