There is intellectualism and there is "intellectualism" ...
While there is a disturbing habit for politics to devolve into simple catch phrases and tabloid news in the western world, more often than not when people refer to "anti-intellectualism" they’re really upset that people reject propaganda that is being pushed by academics in fields that could best be described as institutionalized political activism.
