Thanks for the suggestions. I got Zenonia 2, Robot Unicorn Attack (Because I loved to kill time with it on PC), Battleheart, and N.o.v.a. Oh and Angry birds as I had mentioned before (and the demo of Resident Evil 4 just for kicks).
A good cross section of some casual kill a few minute games, and something resembling a traditional game. I have only really played angry birds and Zenonia, but I am really enjoying both of them. Using an onscreen thumbpad isn't terribly precise, but to play something for 20-30 minutes it's fine, especially since zenonia does a good job of autoaiming and adjusting for the lack of precise input. I like my new little ios device, will definitely be a good handheld.
It really does make me wonder how NGP and 3DS can be as successful as their predecessors. It just seems like IOS has changed the game so much that a 40 dollar console experience on a tiny screen seems kind of wierd. I would never bring my 3ds on a shopping trip with my wife, seeing as how I will only be playing for 5-10 minute intervals, and I wouldn't want to sit on my couch and play on a tiny screen when I have consoles hooked up to a 42 inch screen. This seems just right, a perfect little middle ground.
