Do you get bored at shooting/weapons at certain games?

In uncharted 2 i hardly used weapons, I just run around breaking necks and if an weapon is required, nothing an RPG or grenade launcher cant handle. 

but yes more interesting weapons is needed. Killzone 3 had all the oppunities to give an awesome weapon but nope same old crap.
